Maldives Association of Human Resource Professionals (MAHRP) has successfully concluded an HR best practice share session.
The Great HR Best Practice Share July 2019 edition, which was held at the Faculty of Education Auditorium on July 14, attended an audience of 115 participants. The theme of session was Employee relations focusing on grievance management, handling discipline issues, policies and procedures; and a panel discussion on equipping today’s HR Managers to handle employee relations.
Mohamed Shihab, Chief Operating Officer, Damas Pvt Ltd, gave a presentation on employee Handling disciplines policies and procedures, whilst Guraisha Ismail, Manager Employee Relations, Maldives Airports Company Ltd, shared practical aspects on managing grievances at workplace.
The panel moderated by Alim Adam, Human Resource Manager at Voyages, walked the attendees through several aspects of employee relations and key touch points. Lawyer Hussain Siraj, Maldives Law Institute, Mohamed Athif – Director Human Resources, Kandimma Maldives, and Asiyath Mohamed – Manager Employee Relations highlighted the importance of having clear guidelines in place to ensure consistency of decisions made by the management, and importance of considering all aspects when making decisions.

The Great HR Best Practice Share series is a special knowledge sharing forum where participating organisations will present their practices in various aspect of human resources management. These monthly sessions always bring out wonderful stories of how things can be done in organisations regardless of their resources or financial strength.
Following the successful HR best practice share session, MAHRP is gearing up to host first ever Learning and Development Conference in Maldives. Total 06 international speakers and 05 local speakers will share knowledge on very specific and important themes for L&D professionals. This one-day event will happen on 3rd August 2019 at MNU Business School Auditorium.
